| It took a long time, but it was worth the wait as Jay Lang along with partner Joe Saccucci captured their first Can-Am title with a 245-214 victory over past champions Brad Smyth and Brian Hatcher. Lang has been close before with two second place finishes. The victory was worth $2000 in what is the most prestigeous regularly scheduled event of the year. The event was held at Jerry Harris' Novi Bowl who were also the sponsors of what next year will be called the Can-Am Baker Doubles Novi Bowl Open. This tournament also tied the third largest turnout in Can-Am history with 61 teams. It took a score of 1742 to qualify for "Survival Elimination". High qualifiers were Grand Final Champs Mike Busch and Bill Haynes with a score of 1861.
