| Congratulations to Ken Dismore Sr. and Ken Dismore Jr., our first father-son Can-Am Baker Doubles champions! The Dismore's outlasted a near record field of 61 teams at Novi Bowl in Novi for their first title, and the guaranteed 1st prize of $2,000. The qualifying saw a wide variety of scores, with the field averaging an even 200 for the 8 games. Joe Coppola and Ron Chalou led the way with a score of 1850, while the cut to make the elimination round was 1703. There were two 300 games, Nick Wissinger and Terry Mariucci in the qualifying, and Tom Smallwood and Allen Wagner in the elimination round. The championship match featured the Dismore's facing Jay Lang and Chris Patterson. Each team found the championship pair tough to strike on. The turning point in the match was a pocket 7-10 by Lang on the right lane which seemed to take momentum away. Ken Sr. and Ken Jr. bowled a clean game, catching one double on their way to a 204-157 win. The next Can-Am Baker Doubles will be held at Westland Bowl in Westland on January 27th.
