| Our first Can-Am Baker Doubles Over 50 / Under 50 tournament was held at Oak Lanes in Westland. Sam Girgenti and Steve Barry led the way in the eight game qualifying round with a score of 1863, while a cut score of 1727 was needed to make the elimination match play rounds. Girgenti and Barry defeated Vince Desantis and James Daniel 279-163 to take home the $1,000, while Desantis and Barry settled for $500. Girgenti and Barry did something that is very rare for a Can-Am Tournament, they were high qualifiers that went on to win the tournament. Our next Can-Am Baker Doubles tournament will be held at Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights. Note the start time for this event is 1:00 p.m. |
