| The Can-Am Baker Doubles 8th season kicked off at Bowl One Lanes in Madison Heights with 30 teams vying for the guaranteed first place prize of $1,000. The team of Jeff Roche and Justin Neiman defeated Bob Rozycki and Bill Haynes 216-194 to take the title. The final match came down to the 10th frame, as both teams had 166 through 8 with spares in the 9th. Roche struck out in the 10th, forcing Bill Haynes to do the same. Haynes threw a good shot, but left a solid 10 pin to give Roche and Neiman the title. Qualifying was led by Jay Lang and Chris Patterson with an 1822 total pinfall for the 8 games. The team of Rozycki and Haynes was the cut number at 1673 to make the finals. Our next tournament will be held at Oak Lanes in Westland on October 27th. This is our over 50 / under 50 tournament. One member of the team must be 50 years or older. There is no average cap for this tournament. |
