| Sunnybrook Lanes hosted a good ole shoot out on Saturday, with four teams averaging over 240 a game during the eight game qualifying. The survivors: Joe Jozwick and Greg Mauer. Jozwick and Mauer defeated Mike Calvin and Jeff Suma 234-219 to claim the $1,300 1st prize. The final match was a roller coaster. Jozwick and Mauer started the match striking, while Suma and Calvin had carry problems. The tide turned towards the end of the game, but a solid 8 pin left by Calvin was the final nail in the coffin. Joe Krajenk and Fred Bauss led the qualifying with an enourmous 1999 eight game total, including a 300 game. Calvin and Suma also rolled a 300 in the finals along with a 299 game. Our next tournament will be held at Plaza Lanes on December 15th, starting time 11:45. |
