Mike Norris and Craig Nidiffer beat the powerhouse team of Mark Moore and Nick Wissinger 225-198 to capture the open tournament title at Taylor Lanes. A total of 49 all star teams battled the tough conditions at Taylor. The cut score to make the elimination finals was a mere 1516. The 8 game qualifying was lead by John Nolen and Jeff Grego as they led the field by over 130 pins with a 1788 total.
Norris and Nidiffer were a model of consistency in the elimination rounds to take home the $1,300 first place prize. Moore and Wissinger settled for 2nd place and $700.
The next tournament will be at Wayne Bowl on March 8th, starting time is noon. |
