Glen Ludeman and Bill Stephenson captured the title at Wayne Bowl outlasting the field in one of the highest scoring tournaments of the year. It took an 8 games qualifying score of 1856 to make the elimimation round. Ken Wyatt and Jeff Goergen led the way with a score of 1949. Once again the curse of the qualifing leader was evident as Wyatt and Goergen exited in round 1 of the eliminations.
The title match wasn't close, as Ludeman and Stephenson routed Mike Norris and Bob Rozycki 232-143 to take home the $1,200 prize. Norris and Rozycki pocketed $650 for second.
The next tournament will be held at Drakeshire Lanes on March 22nd, starting time noon. |
