| Another exciting finish for our second event of the season at Bowl One Lanes in Troy. A great turnout of 60 teams competed for the first place prize of $1,500, and when it was over, Craig Nidiffer and Doug Mazurko claimed the title defeating Justin Neiman and Ron Napiewiski 245-235. The final match came down to the 10th frame. Neiman struck out in the 10th forcing Mazurko to throw the first two strikes for the win. Under the pressure, with a good crowd gathered around, Mazurko threw all three strikes for the impressive win. Gary Wodowski and Kris Langer led the qualifying round with an eight game total of 1799. It took a score of 1692 to make the elimination rounds. Our next tournament will be held at Plaza Lanes in Plymouth on February 14, starting time of 12:15. |
