| Novi Bowl in Novi was the host for our first tournament of the new year. This was also our annual tournament with a guaranteed first place prize of $2,000. A total of 46 teams competed in this event and it concluded with an exciting final match. Jeff Goergen and John Fedorka defeated Tom Stevens and Robert Maki 222-221. Midway through the match it looked like Stevens and Maki were going to coast, however, after Goergen struck out in the 10th, Stevens left a 5-6 split sending Goergen and Fedorka home with the title. Ken Wyatt and Jim Lauricella led the qualifying with a score of 1839, while it took a score of 1691 to make the elimination finals. Nick Wissinger and Tony Lupo had the only 300 game of the tournament. Our next tournament will be held at Bowl One Lanes in Troy on January 24, starting time 12:15. |
