| A couple of veteran teams met in the final match at Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights. The title match wasn't close as Jason Nieman and Rich Rathburn struck on every shot but one in a 279-205 win over Ken Wyatt and Jim Lauricella. Nieman and Rathburn took home the $1,200 first place while Wyatt and Lauricella settled for the second place prize of $600. It was fitting the final two teams met for the title, Wyatt and Lauricella led the qualifying with a score of 1848, while Nieman and Rathburn ended up second with a score of 1811. It took a qualifying score of 1661 to make the elimination finals. Wyatt and Lauricella recorded the only 300 of the tournament on their final game of qualifying. Our next tournament will be held at Wayne Bowl in Westland on December 27, starting time 12:15. |
