| Wayne Bowl in Westland was the site of this months Can Am Baker Doubles and this was our biggest shootout of the year. Forty teams were in the field and the qualifying average was 221. Robert Eddy II and Ron Bettin led the qualifying with a huge score of 1950, while it took a score of 1814 to make the elimination finals. The final match saw Carlton Chambers and Nick Kokenos defeat Ken Wyatt and Jim Lauricella 255-204 to take home the title and the first place prize of $1,200. Wyatt and Lauricella settled for second place and $600. There was definitely a crowd advantage for Chambers and Kokenos (see photo below!!). There was one 300 game rolled in the qualifying by Tom Gaddis and Chris Blahover. Our next tournament will be held at Novi Bowl on Sunday January 11, starting time of 2:30. This tournament has a guaranteed first prize of $2,000. Have a safe and Happy New Year! |
